3 Runes to Help you defend against energy attacks
Three runes to help you protect your energy
I’ve been asked about how runes can help protect from negative energy.
It’s often spoken about in spiritual circles; people coming under psychic attack or being targeted with negative energy from others.
I believe that we personally effect the energies and vibrations of those around us, and this is borne out through the studies of neurology. We as a culture don’t study what we can’t measure. So, we’ve got to go with what feels right in our experience. Energy be it dark or light does not work for my world view. There is only intent. I don’t subscribe to the law of three. I do subscribe to newtons third law, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
What I mean by this is that if someone is throwing negative intent at you and are feeling that attack. They’ve got to get that energy from somewhere. And how they fuel that energy is going to deplete or empower them. Sometimes rage is a great power source. But it is very prone to burning out and depleting. Whereas love is self-sustaining. The energy constructs that are the runes are great at harnessing energy, and the runes don’t care where and how they are used.
To protect, one of the basic tenants of humanity there are several runes that can help harness this energy, to deflect, absorb or reflect negative attacks back at sender.
The first:
Algiz. This is the stereotypical defensive, protective rune. She is the spikey fence, or high walls. She is the spear wall and the clearly marked boundary. Algiz only works when you set a boundary. So if you are constantly letting people walk all over, or take advantage of you as a defence Algiz is not your ally.
Use Algiz to build the boundaries. Not add to them if you’ve got history of passivity. If you boundaries are good, then Algiz will make them sharp and pointy. The difference between a fern bush and a bramble bush. One marks the edge, the other with cut a bitch.
Put Algiz on the physical boundaries of your property. Be it your garden fence or the door to your room. Or your lunch in the office fridge. Algiz makes breaking that boundary unpleasant. Like pushing through a bramble.
Energy sent at you, like Sun Tzu said, ‘Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected.’ When you know someone is throwing darkness and shade at you, don’t be there to receive it. Attacking is exhausting. It requires lots of energy and focus. If someone has an energetic barb or tang into you then you need to wash it clean so you can in effect slip beneath their radar. Or use the harry potter invisibility cloak. Isaz is your friend here. When your tormentor is throwing their energy at illusionary constructs, and you are happily living doing your thing, they burn themselves out. Use Isaz on little totems of your energy, I use stones or pebbles, with my runes on one side, the runes that I use for my energy. And I use Isaz to go through them, and on the other side of the pebble. I then drop the pebbles in confusing places that will require lots of energy to get at. Like train stations, airports, different countries. Lots of people throw up an energetic mist. Your foe will know your energy is there, but the confusion of people will confuse their magic. Requiring even more energy.
Isaz is also great to use on your home in this regard, you’ve thrown up some distractions, now to hide yourself. Isaz can cover your home safe space in glittering reflective energy that will confuse inbound attacks.
The last rune is one that will shrug off the attack. Uruz, the rune of strength and stubbornness. This rune is the energy of the aurauchs. A beast so mighty it took a whole village to hunt it. It could push over mighty trees and its tusks could hold many flagons of ale.
Use the Uruz rune on yourself and your energy. With the intent to ignore any attacks and absorb them. Uruz can withstand a load of damage and ignore it. Use that energy so that whatever gets through your boundaries and finds you in the midst of confusion, is less than a feather falling on your head.
As I’ve said, each attack will weaken your foe, while you’ve got strong energetic walls, distraction, and glamour so they have to send energy all over the place. And if they do find you, you are so tough you can ignore it.
All these things will weekend them, and burn out their access to cosmic energy, so you outlast them, and the consequences of their actions will come hunting them.
