A deep dive into becoming more fully fulfilled and totally rested in your life.
When I worked in the ER/ED the ability to rest was not one I was taught, I’d shuffle into the staff room and stuff my pasta into my face (plus some chocolate) and down some caffeine and sugar laced drink, play on my phone and then back to work. I was not resting.
When I finished my shift, I went home and played computer games and watched tv. I was not resting.
This lack of effective rest started to erode my bodies coping mechanisms, I started to run out of the ability to compensate for the stress I was under, while looking after sick and injured people.
Then I broke, break down, moved countries and had to reassess what the F was going on.
It all boiled down to my inability to rest effectively. I did not know how to switch from work mode to rest mode, I spent ten years activated, always ready for the next casualty.
This did not do my body and mind any good. In actual fact it really messed me up.
What I’ve got for you is the distillation of the tools I had to learn to help myself while I was actively in a space that was not helping.
Good news is that you can use them off the shelf, so you don’t have to refine them while you are in a space of activation, of stress, of meaningful rest and recovery.

Rest is not sleep, this programme is designed to help you acquire the skills and techniques to build the deeply primal ability to become well rested.
You’ve seen a cat get freaked out or a dog get scared? When they are done with that emotion they can rest, and do.
This is what Permission To Rest is about, utilising the biological and genetic traits that are built into each of us to manage stress, and turn on and off the stress response when we need to.

Practical Embodied tools to allow you to change your mental and physical state from activated to calm.
Techniques to help you find safety and build your tolerance so you can avoid being activated by general life.
This is a remote course, that is delivered to your electronic device of choice, not the microwave. A smart phone or computer.
You’ll get two emails a week, the first with the tool to learn this week, and the second with a Radical Rest Yoga Nidra to help you embody that tool and to ensure you bring its teachings into your mind and body.

A device connected to the internet, I guess your microwave would do, if it’s super fancy, but Smart phone or computer is better.
A desire to want to change.
